Lunch N’ Learn: Active Shooter Response & Safety Seminar

Active shooter incidents are often unpredictable and evolve quickly. In the midst of the chaos, anyone can play an integral role in mitigating the impacts of an active shooter incident. This seminar will provide you with the knowledge to be able to recognize and respond to an active shooter incident.  It will enhance the public’s safety and survival techniques, and have the potential to save countless lives.

Understand what the threat is, what a survival mindset is and what your response options are.

Speaker: Sergeant Joshua Dobson, Sacramento Police Department

Sergeant Joshua Dobson joined the Sacramento Police Department in 1998. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2012 after serving with the SWAT team for over 11 years. In January of 2013, Sgt. Dobson became the supervisor of the K9 Unit, later that summer Sgt. Dobson teamed with K9 “Ace”.  K9 Ace is cross-trained to find criminals, explosives, firearms, and he deploys with the SWAT team.  A twenty year veteran, Sgt.
