REstart Program

REstart is a program devoted to bringing two of the most basic needs, housing and employment, to disadvantaged individuals caught in the cycle of poverty and homelessness. REstart offers participants training, mentoring, and job placement assistance leading to careers in property management. REstart is committed to bringing integrity, compassion and professionalism to challenged individuals as we provide the personal growth and marketable skills necessary to obtain jobs, career and homes. REstart is dedicated to this purpose through knowledge, education and networking with the support of the IREM Sacramento.

REstart is a program of the Bobby Jo Lewis Foundation developed in 1998 and has been implemented by IREM San Diego. It is our goal to raise funds, obtain volunteers and launch the REstart program here in Sacramento.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information about this program please contact Paula Nicholas, VP of Chapter Services at [email protected]

The REstart Program has partnered with Women's Empowerment to help support our cause.  Located in Sacramento, Women's Empowerment was created by homeless women expressing their needs and a community coming together with the desire to end homelessness-for good.

The mission of Women's Empowerment is to educate and empower women who are homeless with the skills and confidence necessary to get a job, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and regain a home for themselves and their children.
